About DocuPoint
DocuPoint covers SharePoint, Microsoft 365, various security topics and document management with a focus on what actually works in production environments.
Author
DocuPoint is written by me, Ulrich Bojko.
I've worked with SharePoint and document management systems since 2007, implementing solutions for organizations across regulated industries including pharmaceuticals, finance, and healthcare. Most of my career has been spent helping companies migrate between systems, configure governance frameworks, and make SharePoint do what they actually need it to do.
I started DocuPoint because I wanted a place to write about SharePoint, Open Source, IT Security and document management honestly, without vendor filtering. The articles here reflect what I've learned from actual implementations—the successes, the failures, and the workarounds that don't appear in Microsoft's documentation. I publish research and deepdives.
Ethics Statement
My goal is to provide honest analysis and research based on actual experience:
- I am not paid by any company for opinions expressed on DocuPoint
- I work as a consultant at Strator, which means Microsoft and other technologies generate income through client work, but that doesn't influence what gets published here
- When I recommend a tool or approach, it's because I've used it in production environments
- When I criticize something, it's because I've encountered the problem firsthand
- I pay for my own event attendance and don't accept vendor hospitality that would create conflicts
I currently work at Strator, a Danish consultancy specializing in document management for regulated industries. That work informs what I write here, but DocuPoint operates independently. When Strator's services are relevant to a topic, I'll mention it transparently.
If you spot an error or have concerns about anything published here, please feel free to comment or contact me. I'll either correct it or explain my reasoning.
